A Los Angeles County firefighter died after a vehicle exploded

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. – A Los Angeles County firefighter was reportedly killed Friday when a heavy truck exploded in Antelope Valley.

Authorities have not released the name of the firefighter or what caused the explosion that occurred early afternoon in the 6500 block of East Avenue in Littlerock.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a news conference was held at 6 p.m. to discuss “the death of one of our firefighters in the line of duty.” post on social media platform X.

Earlier this year, nine Los Angeles cities firefighters were injured when a compressed natural gas tank exploded while extinguishing a semi-truck fire.
