The body of a 16-year-old child was found in the cemetery in Sardis

SARDIS, Tenn. – A tragic discovery in southern Henderson County has investigators trying to figure out the details of what happened.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the case of a 16-year-old boy found dead Friday morning at Spring Hill Cemetery in Sardis, Tennessee. The sheriff’s office reserves comment on this case at this time.

It is an unfortunate tragedy that has left some concerned and wondering what caused it.

Sources also say that the body was found by a 13-year-old girl and her mother sent it to the police.

It is not yet clear how the child ended up in the cemetery. The last recorded burial at Spring Hill Cemetery is dated April 2004, and most of the graves are unmarked and unidentified.
