New Delhi: A YouTuber named Praneeth Hanumanthu has landed himself in legal trouble and has faced a huge backlash for allegedly making incestuous comments in a video. Now, the Telangana Cyber Bureau has filed an FIR against the YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu for his distasteful comments.

What did the YouTuber say in the video?

The video shows a group of men giving a sexual twist to the father-daughter bond, which has sparked a huge backlash, with internet users saying the video promotes pedophilia and puts children at risk.

The matter came to light when actor Sai Dharam Tej reported the video, tagging Telangana Chief Minister A Ravanth Reddy, and urged him to “take necessary action to prevent such heinous acts in the future”.

He added, “This is beyond macabre, disgusting and horrifying. Monsters like these go unnoticed on a highly used social media platform, abusing children under the guise of so-called fun and wetness. Child safety is the need of the hour.”

After Tej tagged the CM, he thanked the actor for reporting the video. He wrote on X, “Thanks for bringing this to our attention @IamSaiDharamTej garu. Child safety is the top priority for our govt. We will look into the incident and take appropriate action.”

YouTuber’s Apology

After receiving negative comments, the YouTuber apologized. He wrote on X: “I cut the problematic part from the video. I unconditionally and unequivocally apologize for the error in judgment. As a creator, I always strive to make you smile. Unfortunately, this time I crossed the line between dark and tasteless.”

Not only this, the Woman Safety Wing of the Telangana Police as well as the DGP of Telangana Police also responded to the actor’s post. They revealed that an FIR has been filed with the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB).
