14-year-old and three others accused of stealing car from gas station

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Four teenagers, including a 14-year-old girl, have been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery in Orange Mound on Monday.

According to reports, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a robbery call at the Marathon gas station at 2785 Park Avenue. The victim told police she was returning to her car when a gunman approached her and demanded her property.

The victim complied with the second suspect who approached her. The suspects fled the scene in his car.

Reports say officers followed the vehicle to Airways Boulevard and Park Avenue. As they approached the car, it fled, activating a pursuit.

The vehicle hit a curb on Kimball Avenue near Labelle Street and “became disabled.” Police say two men and two women ran from the car and were taken into custody.

Christopher Paige, 18, was charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest in a vehicle, evading arrest on foot and reckless driving. His bond has not been set.

A 17-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl were also charged with robbery with violence and fleeing arrest on foot.
