Early Prime Day deals drop Fire Max 11 tablet price to $140

Amazon Prime Day officially begins next week, on July 16, but we’re already starting to see some good deals. The Amazon Fire Max 11 tablet has dropped back down to $140 as part of the company’s Prime Day deals. Normally $230, the big bundle is now $90 off — exactly the price you’d spend on the Amazon Fire Max 11 Keyboard Case.

The Fire Max 11 has, as you might guess, an 11-inch screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. Its octa-core processor should be more than enough for streaming media and browsing maps, and it also has 4GB of RAM. The Fire Max 11 ships with 64GB or 128GB of storage, which can be expanded to 1TB with an additional microSD card. It has 8-megapixel cameras on the front and back for video calls, as well as 1080p video recording. With an estimated 14 hours of battery life, the Fire Max 11 should be a great companion for summer road trips.

In our testing of the Fire Max 11, we found it to feel more like a premium tablet, compared to Amazon’s cheaper and kid-friendly Fire line. “With thinner bezels, a more premium aluminum chassis, and weighing just over a pound, it’s designed for those who also want to get some work done and multitask,” wrote Engadget’s Cherlynn Low.

With this new low price, it makes sense to pair the Fire Max 11 with Amazon’s $90 Keyboard Case . It has a stand to prop up the tablet and provides a decent experience for typing and using the touchpad. You can also add Amazon’s $35 Stylus for drawing and taking notes. With all of these accessories, the Fire Max 11 could be nearly as productive as an iPad or Surface equipped with similar hardware.
