Trams to be suspended after line disrupted by ‘land movements’

Metrolink services on one line in Greater Manchester will be suspended tomorrow due to “ground movements” disrupting track operations.

Tram services on the Rochdale line through Oldham will be suspended while engineers work to make the section from Derker to Shaw and Crompton safe.

Transport bosses said a speed limit was currently in place to allow trams to run safely this evening. However, on Wednesday (July 10), trams will not be allowed to run further than Oldham Mumps.
