This 90-Year-Old Michigan Restaurant Serves the Best Burgers

There is something about a well-made cheeseburger that truly makes you feel like a true American. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of going to many great local restaurants and trying amazing burgers with the help of a community that has championed these great family restaurants.

I recently had a burger at a saloon in Mackinaw City that was probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. But it seems like there’s another place in Michigan that people go to regularly because many believe they have the best burgers you can get anywhere. The thing is, it’s actually a 90-year-old restaurant in Clare, Michigan that was founded in 1935.

The Whitehouse Diner in Clare doesn’t just have a great burger, they also have a special chorizo recipe and are home to the original Coney Flint hot dog. Plus, they make homemade soups, omelets, pies, and other classic diner dishes. Period.

They also often turn on the smoker and cook ribs and pulled pork. Running a family business is tough, especially during a pandemic, but this business has been going strong for almost 90 years, and the reviews on its website…

Whatever they do, they do a good job, so if you ever say you’ve had the best burger you’ve ever eaten, you might have to head to Whitehouse to challenge that claim. Have you ever been here? Let us know your experience.
