Sexyy Red Denies Rumors of Low Ticket Sales

Sexyy Red responds to low ticket sales rumors for her upcoming film Sexy Red 4 President trip.

The “Pound Town” rapper took to X on Monday (July 8) to address reports of poor ticket sales. “My fans are buying tickets, we’re doing great. We’re not canceling any tours,” she wrote in response to a post suggesting her tour was in jeopardy.

Tourist data reported on July 3 that 37.11% of tickets for the 24-day march had been sold, with 85,217 still available. However, the St. Louis native dismissed the idea that those numbers indicated trouble.

“This is what they try to do to you when you go with an independent promoter and the bigger companies try to sabotage you,” she explained in another post, referring to her work with AG Entertainment. “We’re not canceling anything.”

The 26-year-old artist concluded by blaming certain social media sites for spreading misinformation: “I made a tour deal with a black promoter, a black company called AG Entertainment, and now they’re playing dirty by paying sites that spread fake news to discourage my fans from buying tickets.”

The rapper has made an impact on the Billboard Hot 100 with several recent hit singles. Sexyy Red’s latest single, “Get It Sexyy,” was her highest-charting solo performance, debuting at No. 23 and peaking at No. 20 on the Hot 100, while also charting on the Global 200.

Her breakthrough track “Pound Town” peaked at No. 66 on the chart. “SkeeYee” followed at No. 62. Additionally, her collaboration with Nicki Minaj on the remix of “Pound Town 2” found considerable success, also peaking at No. 66 on the chart and gaining significant airplay on radio and streaming platforms.

The Sexyy Red tour is set to kick off in Miami on August 15 and wrap up in Los Angeles on October 10. Tickets are available here.
