DripDrop and NVFC partner for fifth year to provide rapid hydration to volunteer firefighters

WASHINGTON — Summer brings outdoor adventures, water activities and barbecues, but it can also pose risks for firefighters who work with heavy equipment and high temperatures. To help prevent dehydration and heat-related injuries for firefighters, especially during extended incidents and wildfire response, DripDrop hydrationPBC, has entered into cooperation with National Council of Volunteer Fire Departments (NVFC) has donated 200,000 sachets of electrolyte drink to volunteer fire departments for the fifth time.

DripDrop is a fast, clinically proven way to quickly replace lost fluids and electrolytes, so first responders can perform at their best, both physically and mentally. This year, a total of 1,000 volunteer fire departments will receive two packs (200 sachets) of DripDrop electrolyte drink.

“The health and safety of our volunteer firefighters is a top priority for NVFC,” said NVFC Chairman Steve Hirsch. “We are pleased to once again partner with DripDrop to help ensure first responders across the country stay hydrated and disease-free this summer so they can return home safely and serve their communities to the best of their ability.”

“DripDrop is proud to partner with the National Volunteer Fire Council and its significant efforts to support fire and EMS organizations through a wide range of services and programs,” said John Shea, CMO of DripDrop Hydration. “We are honored that firefighters across the country trust our product and are excited to support these heroes in their efforts to keep their communities safe.”

Active volunteer firefighters across the U.S. can enter to win a product donation between July 8 and July 21 at 11:59 PM PDT. Only one entry per fire station will be accepted. A total of 1,000 fire stations will be randomly selected from all eligible entries.
