REI Co-op Promotes Guillaume Ledieu to Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer – Footwear News

Guillaume Ledieu has been named senior vice president and chief technology officer at REI Co-op.

Ledieu, who joined the outdoor retail giant in October 2023, will take over the role effective immediately. He replaces Dan Shull, who REI said will leave the company on July 12 to pursue a new opportunity.

“I am pleased to announce Guillaume’s promotion to senior vice president, chief technology officer,” REI President and CEO Eric Artz said in a statement. “Guillaume joined the cooperative in 2023 as our vice president of foundation technology and has already made an incredible impact in his short time here. In his new role, Guillaume will be responsible for all technology at REI, meeting the current and future needs of members, customers and employees, and helping to create a more modern and efficient REI.”

Before joining REI, Ledieu was vice president of business transformation at McCormick & Company and held various other positions within the company for nearly 10 years. Ledieu also held executive positions at Glatfelter and Black & Decker.

“Since joining the co-op last year, my passion for nature and commitment to the co-op’s mission have only grown stronger,” Ledieu said in a statement. “Joining REI was more than just a career change; it was a personal project to become a part of something bigger. I am incredibly excited to serve the co-op in this new role.”
