A Warren woman is facing child endangerment charges after police say one of the toddlers overdosed after eating THC gummies.

Sierra Bressler, 29, pleaded not guilty to the charges on Tuesday.

The charge stems from an incident that occurred in May at a home on Beechcrest St. NW when officers were called to the hospital to investigate a reported overdose involving a child.

The mother of a 2-year-old boy told police that when her sister visited the family’s home the previous night, she gave her two THC gummies. The mother said her sister took one of the gummies and left the other on the nightstand.

The mother told police that the next morning her son seemed lethargic and apathetic.

The parents took the child to Trumbull Regional Medical Center, where a nurse told police the boy had likely eaten a jelly bean that morning.

The child was later taken to Akron Children’s Hospital for further treatment.

Police reported the incident to Child Protective Services and inspected the family’s home.

Bressler, who is free on bail, will face his next court hearing in mid-August.
