Nicolas Cage’s Son Arrested After Attacking His Mother

Weston Cage Coppola, the son of actor Nicolas Cage, was arrested in Los Angeles after allegedly attacking his mother, Christina Fulton, with a deadly weapon. The 33-year-old was released on $150,000 bail.

The arrest is reportedly related to an incident that took place in April of this year, although details about what happened during the attack have not yet been released. However, an LAPD spokesperson confirmed that an arrest did take place.

They noticed that Sun: “I can confirm that Weston Cage Coppola was arrested today for assault with a deadly weapon.” The spokesman added that Weston was detained when he was stopped by the LAPD’s 77th Division.

A source close to Cage Coppola’s family reportedly told the publication that they knew the arrest was coming and that it was still a difficult moment for them. It is not known who posted Weston’s bail.

In May of this year, Christina Fulton spoke with People about the attack and admitted that she and her son had not argued before it occurred. She also stated that it was likely due to Weston’s mental health issues. That day, she was contacted by several of Weston’s “best friends” who warned that he was in a state of “crisis.”

Fulton then went to where her son was, but was quickly attacked by him. She explained: “Upon arrival, I was met by my son, who was clearly in a state of mental breakdown, which in turn became a terrifying experience.”

“I have always supported helping my son with his mental health struggles,” Fulton added. “I do everything I can to make sure he gets the ongoing support he needs.” Weston has struggled with addiction and was arrested for drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident in 2017.

Weston Coppola Cage is an actor and musician. He made his acting debut in Lord of War in 2005 with his father, and was also the frontman for two metal bands, Eyes of Noctum and Arsh Anubis. He has not yet commented on the arrest.

“He can do things I dream of doing…composing music, singing, acting, sculpting, cooking, and now he’s a loving father,” Cage once said after the birth of his grandson, Lucian Augustus. “Seeing my son with his grandson is as close to blissful fulfillment as I’ve ever had.”

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Cage explained why AI “terrifies” him. The Hollywood star said of the technology’s potential role in the future: “I wonder where the truth of artists will end up? Will it be replaced? Will it be transformed? Where will the heartbeat be? I mean, what are you going to do with my body and my face when I die? I don’t want you to do anything with that!”

This is an evolving story.
