‘The Voice’ judge ‘may be removed’ if ‘remains abrasive’

Adam Levine was reportedly given a warning due to their behavior before returning to The Voice.

The Maroon 5 singer returns to the NBC show after leaving in 2019 after 16 series.

Next year, he will train again for Season 27 alongside John Legend, Michael Bublé and Kelsea Ballerini.

While fans will be pleased to see the 45-year-old back on their screens, it is claimed that some staff are “concerned” by his behavior.

The Daily Mail claims some staff remember him as “cocky” during his first stint and fear he will be the same again.

“Not everyone is happy about Adam returning to the show,” a source told the publication.

“There have been a lot of changes behind the scenes, but there are still a lot of people from Adam’s time there and they don’t like that he’s coming back because at the end of his last run he was cocky, arrogant and seemed entitled.

“People get a second chance and maybe Adam will change. But if he remains the rough Adam from the past, they’ll get rid of him again.

Adam is the second-longest-serving judge, after Blake Shelton. It is claimed that producers’ decision to return Adam is partly dictated by their desire to also see 47-year-old Blake on the series again.

“Adam and Blake’s dynamic was TV gold and the show would love to see it replicated in the future,” the insider said.

As the first judge, Adam was in the red position in the inaugural season of 2011. He managed to get a hat-trick of wins to his name after leaving Javier Colon, Tessanne Chin and Jordan Smith.

Leaving the show six years ago, he wrote: “Thank you NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something that I will always treasure for the rest of my life.

An excited Adam announced his return to the show on Instagram.

“OG is back in the building! I’M BACK to #TheVoice in spring 2025 I can’t wait!’ Adam told fans, and the post reached almost 100,000. likes.

In the first rounds of the singing competition, the judges face the performer. They can only see each other’s appearance once they have decided they want them on their “team”. The concept means that singers are judged solely on their voice.

Since leaving the show, Adam’s marriage to Behati Prinsloo has been in the spotlight when, in 2022, Instagram model Sumner Stroh shared a video on TikTok in which she claimed she had an affair with Adam.

Shortly afterwards, the father of three addressed the allegations in a statement on social media, emphasizing that he was not having an affair.

“I misjudged the situation by talking to anyone other than my wife in ANY flirtatious way,” he wrote.

“I didn’t have an affair, but I crossed that line at a regrettable time in my life.”
