84-year-old Brooklyn woman shot while sitting in a walker on a New York City corner

An innocent 84-year-old woman was shot Monday evening while sitting in a walker on a street corner in Brooklyn.

The woman was struck by a stray bullet in the left arm as she sat on the sidewalk near the intersection of Brooklyn Avenue and Foster Avenue in East Flatbush around 6:45 p.m., police and sources said.

She was taken to Kings County Hospital and is expected to survive her injuries.

According to law enforcement sources, the octogenarian was not the shooter’s intended target.

The victim’s red walker was left on the sidewalk next to a bloodstain as nearly 20 shell casings littered the street, photos of the aftermath show.

The shooting occurred on a bloody weekend when summer weather hit the Big Apple.

On Saturday evening alone, six people were shot in four separate incidents. Two victims, a pair of brothers, died in a murder-suicide in Queens.
