CURWENSVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. — Two firefighters were trapped in a collapse during a Curwensville fire that destroyed two buildings.
Firefighters responded to a garage fire on High Street on June 8. The fire spread to a nearby garage and damaged two houses, TURN IN reported.
After firefighters arrived at the scene, it turned out that the fire had spread to a nearby garage, GANT News reported. Shortly after entering, the roof collapsed, trapping two people Clearview Fire Department firefighters inside.
Both firefighters were rescued and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. A third firefighter was also injured and taken to hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
