BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) – Berlin police say a minor is among the suspects arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Citgo gas station in January.

Police said they responded to the gas station at 1289 Farmington Avenue just after midnight on Jan. 12 for a report of an armed robbery.


After an “extensive investigation” they secured arrest warrants for two people they believe are responsible.

Both were arrested and extradited from Massachusetts on charges related to the Berlin incident, as well as armed robberies in Manchester, Fairfield and North Haven.

Andre Oliveira De Paula, 22, of Millis, Massachusetts, was charged with first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery and complicity to first-degree robbery. He was held on multimillion-dollar bail.

A 17-year-old suspect from Massachusetts was charged with first-degree robbery and committed to a juvenile detention center in Connecticut.
