A 1-year-old child has died after being hit by a car in Detroit

Police say the child was accidentally struck by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. She died of her injuries at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit.

DETROIT (FOX 2) – A 1-year-old child died Tuesday afternoon in an apparent hit-and-run accident, according to Detroit police.

The incident occurred in the area of Snowden Street near Puritan Avenue in Detroit.

Police say a one-year-old girl died after being accidentally hit by a vehicle on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. She died from her injuries.

DPD told FOX 2 the child was transported to Sinai Grace Hospital, where he died from his injuries. The incident is being described as an “accidental death” at this time.

The police are not looking for any suspects.
