‘The Boys’ canceled and will end with season 5 on Amazon Prime Video

The end for The boys is in sight. Series creator Eric Kripke announced today that the series will end with the upcoming fifth season.

“Season 5 will be the final season!” Kripke wrote on bring the story to a bloody, epic and steamy climax Watch season 4 in 2 DAYS, because the end has begun!

The boys received an early renewal for Season 5 last month ahead of this month’s Season 4 release.

In 2020, Kripke told fans that his “rough idea” for The boys was “five seasons in total”, acknowledging at the time, “But I also know better than to say how many seasons a series will have.” Kripke’s Last Show Supernatural lasted 15 seasons.

In a recent interview with SFX Magazine, Kripke did not speculate on the number of seasons The boys would go, but said he had “an end in mind.”

The boys Season 4 premieres June 13 on Prime Video.

The boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Cameron Crovetti.

The boys is based on The New York Times bestselling comic book from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers, and developed by executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, Judalina Neira, Ken F. Levin and Jason Netter also serve as executive producers.
