A serious accident closes the A19 – Services on site

This afternoon (Tuesday) there was an accident that closed a section of the A19 motorway.

It is situated between Easingwold and Thirsk.

North Yorkshire Police said: “We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A19 at the junction of Carlton Husthwaite and Hutton Sessay.

“The A19 is currently closed and is expected to remain so for some time.”

Emergency services are on site, including an air ambulance.
