Darshan Thoogudeepa, leading Kannada actor arrested in murder case; sent to police custody for 7 days – The Economic Times video

Leading Kannada film actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his close friend and actress Pavithra Gowda were arrested on June 11 in connection with the murder of a man who allegedly made “derogatory” remarks against her. Police questioned the “Challenging Star” and 12 other people after they were detained. They were later arrested and produced before a Bengaluru magistrate’s court, which sentenced them to seven days of police custody. The victim, identified as Renukaswamy, was working with a pharmaceutical company and hailed from Chitradurga, district headquarters. After the alleged murder in a shed belonging to one of Darshan’s aides, Renukaswamy’s body was thrown into a nearby storm drain. Darshan was picked up from his hotel in Mysuru as he was leaving after training at the gym.
