A suspect in a road accident in the Yesler Terrace neighborhood was arrested and a weapon was found

Seattle police arrested a man suspected of a traffic accident that occurred on May 28.

At 8:23 p.m., officers received calls about a car with a missing tire in the middle of the intersection of 12th Avenue South and Boren Avenue South.

Callers reported that the man was hitting vehicles and threatening to shoot people.

Officers located a 52-year-old man who appeared to be agitated near 13th Avenue and East Yesler Way and arrested him.

Police said they recovered weapons, ammunition and drug paraphernalia after searching the car on a warrant.

The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for illegal possession of a firearm and harassment.

The police also asked the suspect to charge him with driving under the influence of alcohol and obstructing his driving.

Detectives from the homicide and robbery units are expected to investigate.
